Function Description:

The DBA Vehicle-Mounted Camera is a compact imaging device utilizing a new generation sensor with high sensitivity and advanced circuit design technology. It is specifically designed for vehicle mounting, allowing it to capture high-resolution images with low distortion and low noise. The camera supports automatic electronic day and night switching, adapting to varying light conditions, and features automatic gain control to optimize image quality. It is suitable for continuous monitoring within a vehicle environment.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Sensor: High performance CMOS sensor.
  • Resolution: High resolution image capture.
  • Illumination: Low illumination capability, rated at 0.1 lux @ (F1.2, AGC ON).
  • Power Supply: The camera operates on a power supply ranging from 6 VDC to 16 VDC.
  • Interfaces:
    • Aviation Plug Interface: Includes connections for Power Ground, Video, Power, and Video Ground.
    • 4-Pin Din Connector Interface: Includes connections for Power, Ground, and Video.
  • Environmental Compliance:
    • FCC: Complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a commercial environment. It must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
    • EU Conformity (CE): Marked with "CE," complying with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EC and the EMC Directive 2014/30/EC.
    • WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU): Products marked with this symbol cannot be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste in the European Union. Proper recycling involves returning the product to the local supplier or designated collection points.
    • Battery Directive (2006/66/EC): If applicable, the product contains a battery that cannot be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Proper recycling involves returning the battery to the supplier or a designated collection point. The battery may be marked with symbols indicating cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), or mercury (Hg).
    • Industry Canada ICES-003: Meets CAN ICES-3 (A)/NMB-3(A) standards requirements.

Usage Features:

  • Mounting: The camera is designed for vehicle mounting. The installation process involves:
    1. Cleaning the mounting surface with isopropyl and water.
    2. Peeling the paster from the mounting base.
    3. Pasting the camera onto the chosen mounting position.
    4. Securing the mounting base with two screws.
    5. Adjusting the camera angle and locking it with two lock screws.
    • A suitable mounting position should allow the camera to aim at the driver.
  • Automatic Adjustments: Features auto electronic day & night switch and auto gain control for optimal image capture in various lighting conditions.
  • Connectivity: Supports connection via either an Aviation Plug Interface or a 4-Pin Din Connector Interface, offering flexibility in integration with vehicle systems.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: Sensor modules should not be touched with fingers. If cleaning is necessary, use a clean cloth with a bit of ethanol and wipe gently.
  • Storage: If the camera will not be used for an extended period, replace the lens cap to protect the sensor from dirt.
  • Troubleshooting: If the product does not function properly, contact the dealer or the nearest service center. Users are explicitly warned against disassembling the camera for repair or maintenance themselves, as unauthorized repairs may void responsibility.
  • Environmental Considerations:
    • Avoid placing the camera in extremely hot, cold, dusty, or damp locations.
    • Do not expose the camera to high electromagnetic radiation.
    • Ensure good ventilation in the operating environment to prevent heat accumulation.
    • Keep the camera away from liquids during use.
    • When shipping, the camera should be packed in its original packing or packing of the same texture.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Adhere strictly to electrical safety regulations of the nation and region.
    • Input voltage must meet SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) and Limited Power Source standards (AC 24V or DC 12V according to IEC60950-1).
    • Avoid connecting multiple devices to a single power adapter to prevent overload, overheating, or fire hazards.
    • Ensure the power plug is firmly connected to the socket.
    • When mounted, the device must be firmly fixed to the wall or ceiling.
    • If smoke, odor, or noise emanates from the device, immediately power off, unplug the cable, and contact the service center.
    • Do not drop the camera or subject it to physical shock.
    • Do not aim the camera at the sun or extra bright places, as this may cause blooming or smearing and affect sensor endurance.
    • The sensor can be damaged by laser beams; ensure the sensor surface is not exposed to laser beams when laser equipment is in use.
    • Do not pull or drag camera cables forcefully.
    • Ensure the mounting part is strong enough to withstand four times the weight of the camera and its mounting.
