Why does my Hilti VC 150-6 X have no suction power?
    • M
      Matthew TorresAug 17, 2025
If your Hilti Vacuum Cleaner has no suction power, it might be due to a full dust bag. Try changing the dust bag. Also, check if the filter element is clogged with dirt or dust; if so, activate the automatic filter cleaning system and let the vacuum run for 30 seconds. Another potential cause is a blocked suction hose or dust hood on the electric tool, so clean those as well.

What to do if the motor on my Hilti Vacuum Cleaner doesn't restart?
    • K
      kpaulAug 19, 2025
If your Hilti Vacuum Cleaner motor doesn’t restart, the mains circuit breaker might have tripped. Reset the circuit breaker. If it trips again, find the reason for the overload current. Another cause could be that the waste material container is full, so switch off the appliance and empty the container. The motor overheating protection cut-out may have been activated; switch the appliance off and let it cool down for about 5 minutes. If it still doesn’t start, return the appliance to Hilti Service. Finally, the motor might be repeatedly switched off by its thermal cut-out; carefully clean the air vents using a dry brush.

      Adriana SolomonAug 26, 2025
If your Hilti Vacuum Cleaner switches itself off or on inadvertently, or if static electricity discharges through you, the issue might be that electrostatic charge is not being conducted away because the appliance is connected to an unearthed/ungrounded power outlet. Connect the appliance to an earthed/grounded power outlet and use an antistatic suction hose.

    • H
      Hayley ReedAug 30, 2025
If your Hilti Vacuum Cleaner has no suction power or reduced suction power, it could be due to several reasons: * The dust bag may be full, so you should change it. * The filter element might be clogged with dirt or dust. If the automatic filter cleaning system is deactivated, activate it and let the vacuum cleaner run for 30 seconds. * The suction hose or dust hood on the electric tool could be blocked. Clean the suction hose and the dust hood.

If the 'Change filter' service indicator lights up on your Hilti Vacuum Cleaner, it could be due to a clogged or old filter element, or because no filter element is inserted. Check the fill level in the waste material container, press the Manual cleaning operating button, and change the filter if necessary.
