Overview

This document describes the Hisense WDBL1014V/WDBL1014VS/WDBL1014VT/WDBL1014VB washing machine, a versatile appliance designed for both washing and drying clothes. It features automatic safety functions that detect and diagnose issues early, ensuring reliable operation.

Function Description

The washing machine offers a comprehensive range of programs and functions to cater to various fabric types and soiling levels.

Washing Programs:

  • Cotton: Designed for heavily and moderately soiled cotton or linen. A "Prewash" function can be selected for very heavily soiled items.
  • Synthetics: Suitable for moderately soiled synthetics and cotton-blended fabrics.
  • Wool: For machine-washable wool, with a specific care label reference.
  • Quick 15': Ideal for cotton and mixed fabrics that have been worn for a short time or are newly bought.
  • Mix: For mixed loads of moderately soiled cotton and synthetic fabrics.
  • Jeans: A dedicated program for jeans.
  • Rinse+Spin: This program defaults to two rinses and a spin cycle.
  • Spin: Allows manual selection of spin length and speed.
  • 60' Wash & Dry: A quick wash and dry process within 60 minutes, suitable for lightly soiled items like T-shirts, shirts, and skirts that are changed daily. It's recommended to wash no more than 3 pieces of skirts at a time.
  • Skin Care: Provides extra rinse time to ensure no residual detergent on textiles, protecting sensitive skin.
  • Baby Care: Effectively extinguishes bacteria in textiles, suitable for baby clothes and those sensitive to clothes.
  • Silk/Delicate: For soft, delicate fabrics and machine-washable silk, with reference to the care label.
  • Drum Clean: A maintenance program designed to remove dirt and bacterial residue that can accumulate in the machine, especially with regular low-temperature washes.

Drying Programs:

  • Cotton Dry: For drying wet cotton and linen clothes after spinning.
  • Synthetics Dry: For drying wet chemical fiber clothes after spinning.
  • Refresh: Suitable for removing peculiar smells (e.g., smoke, hot pot, barbecue) from clothes.

Additional Functions:

  • Pre-wash: Enhances washing effects and better removes stains, particularly for heavy dirt clothes. Detergent can be added to both the pre-wash and main wash compartments.
  • Intensive: Prolongs washing time to strengthen washing effects and better remove stains.
  • Rinse: Adds extra rinse cycles. The default rinse times (including softening) will light up, and each press of the Rinse key adds one rinse cycle, up to a maximum of 5.
  • Delay End: Allows users to set a reservation time for the machine to start, useful for running cycles during off-peak electricity hours. The delay time must be longer than the wash program length.
  • Mute Function: Turns off all buzzing sounds except alarms. It can be activated or deactivated by pressing the "Rinse + Spin" buttons for 2 seconds.
  • Child Lock: Locks all function buttons to prevent accidental changes, enhancing child safety. It is activated by pressing "Temp. +Rinse" for 2 seconds and released by repeating the action or by turning off the machine.
  • Dry Level: Allows selection of dry time and additional dry functions:
    • Iron: For clothes with little water, making them ready for ironing after drying.
    • Cupboard: For clothes that can be worn instantly after drying.
    • Extra Dry: For clothes that can be stored up after drying.
    • Time Dry: Dries clothes for a specified duration (30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 3 hours, or 4 hours).

Usage Features

Getting Started:

  1. Load clothes into the drum and close the door.
  2. Add detergent to the appropriate compartments.
  3. Press the "On/Off" button.
  4. Select the desired program using the program selector. The machine defaults to "Cotton."
  5. Adjust washing temperature, spin speed, and extra rinse times using "Temp," "Spin," and "Rinse" buttons.
  6. Select additional functions with the "Options" button.
  7. Press "Start/Pause" to begin the program. The display window will show program progression, remaining time, rinse times, washing temperature, and selected functions.

Reloading Clothes: During a wash cycle, if you wish to add clothes, press "Start/Pause." If the reload icon lights up, the door can be opened. If the reload icon does not flash, it means the temperature is over 50°C or the reloading time has passed, preventing the door from opening.

Automatic Weighing: After startup, the machine displays "----" as it automatically weighs the clothes. It then adjusts the program length (hours: minutes) based on the load's weight.

Drying Guidelines:

  • Before drying, confirm that the clothes are suitable for drying according to the program table.
  • Ensure the water tap is open and cold water is available.
  • For separate drying, take dehydrated clothes out of the drum, loosen them, and then place them back into the drum.
  • For small or light loads, the dry time may be shorter than the setting.
  • For hand-washed clothes requiring drying, select a high spin speed before drying. The "Spin + Dry Level" program is recommended.
  • At the end of the dry cycle, the machine runs for a period to loosen clothes and reduce wrinkles.
  • Avoid overloading, as it can affect drying efficiency and cause wrinkles.
  • If clothes of different materials are dried together, the dry effect may be affected; classify clothes before drying.
  • Wet clothes that are still dripping are not suitable for drying, as this may trigger an alarm.

Troubleshooting Dry Faults:

  • Washing machine does not carry out dry process: Check if the dry program is set, the water tap is open, the door is closed, and the clothes load is not excessive.
  • Dry is not sufficient: Check if the clothes load is excessive (divide into two parts if necessary) or if different fabric types (e.g., thick cotton mixed with easy-to-dry chemical fibers) are mixed. Separate and dry again if needed.
  • Dry time is too long: Check if the clothes load is excessive, if clothes are not fully dewatered, or if there are many thicker clothes (e.g., denim).

Maintenance Features

Drum Clean Program: This program is specifically designed to remove dirt and bacterial residue that can accumulate inside the machine over time, especially when low-temperature washes are used regularly. Running this program helps maintain the machine's hygiene and performance.

End of Program: When a program finishes, "End" will be displayed. If no action is taken for 2 minutes, the machine will automatically turn off. After use, it is recommended to close the tap, open the door to remove washed clothes, and slightly open the door to allow moisture in the pump to evaporate.

Inlet Water Warning: If the tap is not opened or water pressure is too low, an inlet water fault icon will display, and the screen will show "F01" as an alarm.

Drainage Warning: If the pipe is squeezed or drainage is not smooth, or if the machine fails to drain completely for a long time, a drainage fault icon will display, and the screen will show "F03" as an alarm.

Door Lock Icon: The Door Lock icon lights up when a program starts, indicating the door is locked. After the program completes, the door unlocks automatically. During a pause, if conditions allow, the door lock will unlock, and its indicator light will go out. If the door lock indicator light flashes, do not force the door open to avoid injury.
