How to fix Hitachi Trimmer if charge lamp does not go on?
    • C
      Christopher FloresAug 11, 2025
If the charge lamp on your Hitachi Trimmer charger doesn't turn on, start by ensuring the power plug is securely connected to an AC outlet. Next, check that the battery is correctly seated in the charger. If the light still doesn't come on, inspect the battery and charger electrodes for any dirt or debris and clean them with a cotton swab. Lastly, if the battery is very hot, allow it to cool down completely before attempting to charge it again.

Why does my Hitachi Trimmer go on, but soon stops?
    • P
      Parker MayAug 18, 2025
If your Hitachi Trimmer goes on but soon stops, the rechargeable battery power may be low, so you should charge it. Another possibility is that the rechargeable battery is overheated. If this is the case, stop using it, remove it from the tool, and let it cool in a well-ventilated area away from sunlight. Also, ensure the locking lever is locked to prevent the main pipe from shortening during operation (CG36DAL, CG36DAL (L) only).

What to do if my Hitachi Trimmer does not operate?
    • S
      Susan Livingston MDNov 2, 2025
If the Hitachi Trimmer does not operate, first, ensure the rechargeable battery is fully charged. If that's not the issue, remove the battery and inspect the compartment and battery electrodes for any foreign matter, cleaning with a cotton swab if necessary, and ensure the battery clicks into place. Check that the power is on by pressing the power button. Remember, the tool has an auto power off function after one minute of inactivity, so you may need to press the power button again. Also, make sure the main pipe is fully extended until it clicks (CG36DAL, CG36DAL (L) only). Finally, confirm that you are pressing the lock lever while pulling back the lever to start the motor. Overloading can also cause this issue, so turn off the tool, remove any obstructions, and then press the power butt...
