  If the head of a nail driven into a workpiece protrudes from the wood surface when using your Hitachi Power Tool, the adjuster might be improperly adjusted, so adjust it to the proper position. Also, the air pressure could be too low; adjust it for 5 to 8.5 kgf/cm2. A worn driver blade or abnormal piston ring (worn or damaged) can also cause this issue, so replace the defective part.

  If nails are bending when driven by your Hitachi Power Tool, it could be due to several reasons. If using short nails, the adjuster may be raised too high; turn the adjuster to a lower position to decrease the pressure. Also, make sure the nails are fully fed into the injection port (refer to item 1). A worn driver blade can also cause bending, so replace it. Finally, the workpiece may be too hard; avoid using unspecified workpieces.

  If nails cannot be driven with your Hitachi Power Tool, ensure that the magazine is loaded with specified genuine nails. Remove any abnormal nails and load the magazine with normal nails. Check the nail groove of the magazine for abnormalities (too wide, too narrow, deformed, or damaged); repair or replace the defective part, remove any adhesive fragments, and apply oil to the nail feeder, ribbon spring, and the nail rail. Also, inspect the nail inlet groove of the nose for abnormalities (deformed, burrs, or damaged); repair or replace the defective part and remove any adhesive fragments.

  If nails are clogging the mechanism of your Hitachi Power Tool, ensure you are using specified nails. If not, use specified nails. Improper nail feed could also be the cause. Refer to the section in item 1. A worn driver blade can also cause clogging, so replace the part. Finally, check if the driver blade has not returned completely; see the in item 1.

  If the piston actuates just by pulling the trigger (when single actuation is selected) on your Hitachi Power Tool, the O-ring (inside dia. 10.7) at the outside of the valve bushing may be abnormal (worn, damaged, or broken). Replace the defective part. Additionally, the gasket (G) may be abnormal (improperly mounted, worn, or damaged); mount it properly or replace the defective part.

  If single actuation is impossible with your Hitachi Power Tool, the plunger O-ring (inside the valve bushing) may be abnormal (worn or broken). Replace the defective part. Also, the O-ring (P9, inside valve sleeve (A)) may be abnormal (worn or broken); replace the defective part.
