5.7 SETTINGS OF DIP SWITCHES
Quantity and location of Dip Switches
There are two Printed circuit boards (one for each unit) which
must be congured as explained below.
Dip switches location is the following:
CAUTION
Before setting dips switches, rstly turn off power source and set
the position of the dips switches. If the switches are set without
turning off the power source, the contents of the setting are in-
valid.
NOTE
The mark “■” indicates position of dips switches. Figures show
setting before shipment or after selection.
DSW6 and RSW1: Unit No. Setting
No setting is required when there is only one RPI-(16.0/20.0)HP
unit in the group.
Setting before shipment:
DSW6
RSW1
PCB1
(Upper e-box)
PCB2
(Lower-ebox)
1 2 3 4 5 6
Unit numbers 1 and 2 are reserved for the rst RPI-(16.0/20.0)HP
unit. Further RPI-(16.0/20.0)HP units as well as other indoor units
in the same group require the adjustment of unit number.
DSW3: Capacity Code Setting
No setting is required, due to setting before shipment. This dip
switch is utilized for setting the capacity code which corresponds
to the Horse Power of the indoor unit.
HP PCB1 (Upper e-box) PCB2 (Lower-ebox)
16.0
20.0
DSW4: Unit Model Code Setting
No setting is required. This switch is utilized for setting the model
code which corresponds to the indoor unit type.
Setting before shipment
DSW5 and RSW2: Refrigerant Cycle No. Setting
Setting is required.
Setting position before shipment:
DSW5 RSW2
DSW5 and RSW2 can be set up to 63
Ex. Setting 5 system RSW2
1 2 3 4 5 6
All pins are OFF
Fix to 5
NOTE
Set both modules to the same cycle number.
DSW7: Fuse Recover
Setting before shipment
In case of applying high voltage to the terminal 1,2
of TB1, the fuse on the PCB is cut. In such a case,
rstly correct the wiring to TB1 and then turn ON #1
(as showing beside)
DSW8: (Not used)
No setting is required, due to setting before shipment.
Setting position before shipment is all OFF.
