What to do if the lid does not open on my Hitachi SF-140TE Washer?
    • C
      cstewartAug 4, 2025
If the lid of your Hitachi Washer doesn't open, it might be locked. The lid is locked for your safety, especially when the lid lock indicator is on. Try turning on the power and wait for the lock to be released.

      Christina TaylorAug 9, 2025
To address this, clean the tub, drain hose, etc. of your Hitachi Washer with a soft cloth and use the “Spin” (6 min) function for tub drying.

Why does my Hitachi SF-140TE stop during the spin cycle and add water?
    • D
      Dr. Laura BoltonAug 14, 2025
If your Hitachi Washer stops during the spin cycle and starts adding water, it's likely because the loaded clothes are unbalanced. The washer is attempting to rebalance the load by initiating a rinse cycle. After the load is rebalanced, the spin cycle will start again.

Why is the wash time longer than set on my Hitachi Washer?
    • C
      Catherine GregoryAug 19, 2025
If the wash time on your Hitachi Washer is longer than what you set manually, it could be due to low water pressure. The operating time increases because it takes longer to supply water at a lower pressure.

Why does the remaining time increase during operation of my Hitachi SF-140TE Washer?
    • D
      David RochaAug 25, 2025
If the remaining time increases during operation of your Hitachi Washer, it could be that the remaining time is being adjusted to compensate for the speed of the incoming water. Adjust the water volume to high speed.

Why is water added again during the washing process in my Hitachi Washer?
    • K
      Kevin BradshawAug 29, 2025
To keep the preset water level, water may be added during operation of your Hitachi Washer. This is because water is added automatically up to the set water level if the water level falls because water is absorbed by the laundry.
