Usage Features:
The excavator features a Multi Function Monitor that displays various meters, indicators, radio and air conditioner settings, rearview camera image, and work mode selection. The monitor has 8 main menus and 17 sub-menus.
- Work Modes: The machine offers various work modes for different attachments, including Digging, Thumb, Breaker, Pulverizer, Crusher, Vibrating Hammer, Grapple, Clamshell, Tilting Rotator, and Tilting Bucket modes. Up to 11 attachment modes other than digging mode can be designated.
- Auto-Idle Switch: This switch sets the engine speed control mode to either Auto-Idle ON or OFF, reducing fuel consumption when control levers are neutral.
- Power Mode Switch: Three engine speed modes (ECO, PWR, H/P) can be selected. ECO mode is for normal work, PWR for extra horsepower, and H/P for extra fast speed or heavy-duty work.
- Pilot Control Shut-Off Lever: This lever prevents accidental machine operation by locking control levers and pedals. The engine will not start if this lever is not in the LOCK position.
- Aftertreatment Device: This system removes particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) from exhaust gas. It performs auto-regeneration at regular intervals (usually 30 hours after the previous regeneration). Manual regeneration can also be requested.
- Rear View Camera Monitor (Optional): Provides an aid for visibility, displaying images from side cameras. The monitor brightness can be adjusted.
- Cigar Lighter: Provides 24V electric power for accessories.
- Emergency Exit: The overhead window can be used as an emergency exit.
Maintenance Features:
The manual emphasizes regular maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Daily Checks: Include inspecting engine oil and coolant levels, checking for fluid leaks, damage to hoses and pipes, clogging of radiators, and loose bolts.
- Greasing: Front joint pins, swing bearing, and swing internal gear require regular greasing. Grease bucket and link pivots daily during the first 50 hours of break-in.
- Engine Oil: Check oil level daily. Change engine oil and replace the engine oil filter every 500 hours.
- Hydraulic System: Check hydraulic oil level daily. Change hydraulic oil every 2000 or 5000 hours (depending on oil type) and replace the full-flow filter every 1000 hours. Bleed air from the hydraulic system after oil changes.
- Fuel System: Drain the fuel tank sump and fuel pre-filter daily. Replace the fuel main filter element and fuel pre-filter element every 1000 hours or when the restriction alarm is lit.
- Air Cleaner: Clean the outer element every 250 hours or when the restriction indicator comes ON. Replace the outer element after cleaning 6 times or once a year. Replace the inner element when the outer element is replaced.
- Cooling System: Check coolant level daily. Check and adjust fan belt tension every 250 hours. Change coolant every two years or 4000 operating hours (with Hitachi Long-Life Coolant). Clean radiator, oil cooler, and intercooler cores every 500 hours (outside) and once a year (inside).
- Electrical System: Check battery electrolyte level monthly. Replace fuses as necessary.
- Track Sag: Check every 50 hours and adjust if not within specifications (340 to 380 mm for ZX345USLC-6N).
- Aftertreatment Device: Check and clean as required.
- Urea SCR System: Check DEF/AdBlue® level. Replace DEF/AdBlue® Supply Module Main Filter every 4500 hours. Replace DEF/AdBlue® Tank Water Supply Inlet Filter every 4500 hours or if overflow occurs during water supply.
