5. CALIBRATION OF THE SCALE
1. Press the SCALE button ( ).
The display will show the symbol of the scale and
0 g (picture 1).
2. Press the START/STOP button and the
SCALE button at the same time for 3 seconds.
The display will show the message CAL, followed
by 3000 g.
NOTE – By pressing the buttons, the display will show gures different from zero (0 g) until
the message CAL shows.
3. Place the bowl on the appliance without its lid, add a weight equal to 3000 g (for e.g., 3 x
1 Kg packs of rice or sugar) and wait about 5 seconds until the display shows the message
PASS.
4. Remove from the bowl what you used as weight and press the SCALE button ( ) again.
NOTE – If you do not place a weight equivalent to 3000 in the bowl, the display will show an
error message (Err). In this case, start the calibration procedure once again.
NOTE – When weighing, do not touch or lean anything against the Hoffen Chef Express
cooking machine and ensure that nothing is underneath the appliance. Ensure that the
power cord is not stretched, so as not to interfere with the balance of the appliance.
6. USE AND MAINTENANCE
Do not use the appliance:
• If the accessories are defective.
• If the accessories (blades, lid, etc.) do not t perfectly.
• If the bowl is empty.
• If the on/off button does not work.
• Do not move the appliance when it is working.
• Observe the minimum and maximum limits of the bowl.
• Turn off the appliance after each use.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply when the appliance is not being
used and before cleaning.
• This appliance is intended only for domestic purposes. It is not suitable for professional
or industrial use.
• The appliance should only be used by adults. Ensure that the people who are not
familiar with it do not use the Hoffen Chef Express cooking machine.
• Do not put the appliance away while the bowl is
still hot; let it cool down completely.
• Ensure that the contact pins (picture 1) are not
wet, dirty with dust or other external elements.
• Ensure that the appliance is well preserved.
