Malfunction
indicator lamp
illuminates:
• When the ignition control knob is
turned to the on position:
If the light remains on or
illuminates while driving, there
may be a malfunction in the
emission control system. Contact
a Holden Dealer.
• To indicate that there is a
malfunction in the Diesel Particle
Filter (DPF). Contact a Holden
Dealer.
• See Emission control system on
page 190.
Warning
If you keep driving the vehicle with
the MIL illuminated, after a while,
the emission control system may
not work as well, fuel economy
may not be as efcient and the
engine may not run as smoothly.
This could lead to costly repairs.
Service Vehicle Soon
(SVS) light
• When the ignition control knob
is turned to the on position,
illuminates for approximately
4 seconds.
• If the light remains on, contact a
Holden Dealer.
Warning
If you keep driving the vehicle
while the SVS light is on, damage
may result in the non-emission
related components or related
sub systems. This could lead to
costly repairs.
Brake warning light
• When the ignition control knob
is turned to the on position, R
illuminates for approximately
4 seconds.
• If the light remains on or
illuminates, there is a brake
problem. Contact a Holden
Dealer.
Warning
Driving while R is on may cause
injury to yourself and others.
Have the brake system checked
immediately if this occurs.
