• Use the jack only for lifting the
vehicle when changing wheels.
• Do not get under a vehicle
that is supported by a jack. No
person should place any portion
of their body under a vehicle
that is supported by a jack.
• Vehicles with alloy wheels may
have a steel spare wheel. Drive
carefully and do not exceed
80 km/h if the tyre size or tread
pattern of the spare tyre is
different to the other tyres on
the vehicle. Although the spare
tyre was fully inated when the
vehicle was new, it can lose air
over time. Check the ination
pressure regularly.
• After installing the spare tyre
on the vehicle, stop as soon as
possible to check the ination
pressure is correct. Have the at
tyre repaired or replaced and
installed back on the vehicle as
soon as possible.
Removing the spare tyre
The spare tyre is located in the load
compartment beneath the oor cover.
1. Park on a hard, level surface, in
a safe location.
2. Apply the park brake rmly.
3. Place manual transmissions in
rst or reverse gear.
Place automatic transmissions in
position P.
4. Switch the hazard warning
ashers on.
5. Turn off the engine and remove
the key.
6. Chock the wheel diagonally
opposite the at tyre with a
suitable solid object.
Note
Do not change more than one
wheel at one time.
7. Remove the tools from the load
compartment.
8. Remove the spare wheel from
the load compartment.
9. Place the wheel wrench over the
wheel nuts and loosen by half
a turn, but do not remove the
wheel nuts.
