Intended use
This chainsaw is designed for cutting branches, trunks,
logsandbeamsofadiameterdeterminedbythecutting
lengthoftheguidebar.Itisonlydesignedtocutwood.It
isonlytobeusedoutdoors,byadults.
Donotusethechainsawforanypurposenotlistedabove.
This chainsaw is not to be used for professional tree
services. Itis not to be used by childrenor by persons
notwearingadequatepersonalprotectiveequipmentand
clothing.
Residual risks
Evenwhenusingthechainsawasintended,thereremains
aresidualrisk ofharmwhichcannot be fullyprevented.
Thefollowinglistofpotentialhazardsshouldbereadand
understood. You should payextra attentionand care to
theseitemstoreducetheriskofoccurrenceorinjury.
■ Contactwithexposedcuttingteethandsawchain.
■ Accesstorotatingparts(thesawchain).
■ Unexpected, abrupt movement (kick back) of the
guidebar.
■ Flyingchainparts(thrownofforbroken).
■ Flyingmaterial(cutfromtheworkpiece).
■ Inhalationofsawdustandparticlesoremissionsfrom
thepetrolengine.
■ Skincontactwithpetrol/oil.
■ Loss of hearing if no hearing protective equipment
wornduringuse.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING

section of the operator’s manual are for your safety.
Failure to follow allinstructions may result in serious
personalinjury.Safeoperationofthistoolrequiresthat
you read and understand this operator’s manual and
alllabelsafxedtothetool.Safetyisacombinationof
usingcommonsense,stayingalert,andknowinghow
yoursawworks.
■ Donotoperateachainsawthatisdamaged,improperly
adjusted,ornotcompletelyandsecurelyassembled.
Be sure that the saw chain stops moving when the
throttlecontroltriggerisreleased.
GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
■ Knowyourtool.Readtheoperator’smanualcarefully.
Learnthesaw’sapplicationsandlimitationsaswellas
thespecificpotentialhazardsrelatedtothistool.
■ Do not operate a chainsaw with one hand. Serious
injury to the operator, helpers, and/or bystanders
mayresultfromone-handedoperation.Achainsawis
intendedfortwo-handeduse.
■ Do not operate a chainsaw when you are fatigued.
Neveroperateachainsawwhenyouaretiredorunder
theinfluenceofmedication,drugs,oralcohol.
■ Keepallpartsofyourbodyawayfromthesawchain
whentheengineisrunning.
■ Always carry the chainsaw with the engine stopped
andthebrakeengaged,theguidebarandsawchain
to the rear, and the silencer away from your body.
Whentransportingthechainsaw,usetheappropriate
guidebarscabbard.
■ Turnofftheenginebeforeputtingthechainsawdown.
Do not leave the engine runningunattended. As an
additional safety precaution, apply the chain brake
beforeputtingdownthesaw.
■ Donotcutvinesand/orsmallundergrowth(lessthan
76mm(3inch)indiameter).
■ Silencer surfaces are very hot during and after
operationofthechainsaw;keepall bodypartsaway
fromthesilencer.Seriousburnsmayoccurifcontact
ismadewiththesilencer.
■ Alwaysholdthechainsawwithbothhandswhenthe
engine is running. Use a firm grip with thumbs and
fingersencirclingthechainsawhandles.
■ Never let anyone use your chainsaw who has not
receivedadequateinstructionsinitsproperuse.This
appliestorentalsaswellasprivatelyownedsaws.
■ Beforeyoustarttheengine,makesurethesawchain
isnotcontactinganyobject.
■ Operatethechainsawonlyinwellventilatedareas.
■ Alwayshaveafireextinguisheravailablewhenusing
chainsaw.
■ Useguidebarcoverduringtransportandstorage.
■ The chainsaw should always be used with correctly
mountedspikedbumper.
■ Donotadaptyourpowerheadtoabowguideoruse
ittopower anyattachmentsordevicesnot listedfor
yoursaw.
