  • Inspection: Remove, inspect electrodes and porcelain for deposits, erosion, or carbon fouling. Clean or replace as needed.
  • Adjustment: Adjust gap to 0.9 – 0.9 mm (0.031 – 0.035 in).

Air Cleaner:

  • Servicing: Remove left side cover, unscrew air cleaner, remove retainer, discard old element, install new element.

Throttle Operation:

  • Check: Ensure smooth rotation of throttle grip at all steering positions.
  • Play Adjustment: Adjust throttle grip play (2-6 mm) by loosening lock nut and turning adjuster.

Engine Idle Speed:

  • Adjustment: Warm up engine, set idle speed to 1,000 min⁻¹ (rpm) using the stop screw.

Clutch:

  • Fluid Level: Check fluid level in the reservoir; should be above the lower mark.

Drive Chain:

Brakes:

  • Caution: Handle brake fluid with care as it can damage paint and electric wires. Never allow contaminants into the reservoir.

Suspension:

  • Front and Rear Suspension: Check for smooth action, no oil seepage, and tightness of fasteners.
  • Air Pressure Adjustment: Check and adjust when cold. Front (0-40 kPa), Rear (0-400 kPa).
