Battery
The electrolyte level must be kept between the UPPER and LOWER level marks.
If the electrolyte level is near the LOWER level, remove the battery filler caps
and carefully add distilled water to the upper level line( see page 47).
UPPER LEVEL
LOWER LEVEL
The battery contains sulfuric, acid (electrolyte) which is highly corro-
sive and poisonous.
Getting electrolyte in your eyes or on your skin can cause serious burns.
Wear protective clothing and eye protection when working near the
battery.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURES:
Eyes
-Flush with water from a cup or other container for at least
15 minutes. Call a physician immediately.
Skin
-Remove contaminated clothing. Flush skin with large
quantities of water. Call a physician.
If swallowed. -Drink water or milk and call your poison control center or a
physician immediately.
