Batteries are optional if your ther

when installed. Install fresh batteries
im m ediately w hen the REPLACE BATT
w arning begins flashing.
Even if the w arning do es not
appear, you should rep lace batteries
once a year, or before leaving hom e
for m ore than a m onth.
Batteries provide backup pow er
to the display during pow er inter
ruptions. All settings are p erm a
nently stored in m em ory, and d o not
require b attery power.
