  • Water Filling: The water tank is filled with clean water (preferably de-mineralized or distilled water to prevent mineral build-up) up to the "MAX" indicator. The filling aperture is opened by rotating the water tank cap counter-clockwise.
  • Operation:
    • Power On/Off: The Steam Control Dial is set to "OFF" position when not in use and "MAX" for maximum steam. The power plug is inserted into a conventional electrical outlet.
    • Steam Ready Indicator: A blue indicator light illuminates after approximately 30 seconds, indicating the appliance is ready to produce steam.
    • Steam Control: The Steam Control Dial allows adjustment of steam intensity from "OFF" to "MAX".
    • Steam Release: Steam is released by pressing the Steam Release Button on the handle.
  • Cleaning Modes and Attachments:
    • Mop Head: Used with the Micro-fiber Mop Pad for floor cleaning. The mop head swivels for easy maneuverability.
    • Carpet Glider: Attaches to the mop head to refresh carpets.
    • Utility Head and Small Cloth: For general cleaning of various surfaces. The cloth attaches via velcro.
    • Window Squeegee: Used with the Utility Head for cleaning windows, mirrors, and other smooth glass surfaces.

  • Safety Features:

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of the appliance:

  • Emptying the Water Tank: After each use, unplug the cleaner, remove the water tank cap, and pour out any remaining water.
  • Cleaning the Textile Pad: The micro-fiber mop pad and small cloth should be removed after use. If necessary, they can be washed in a washing machine at a maximum temperature of 40°C. Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Cleaning the Blockage: If the appliance stops producing steam or the steam output is weak, a blockage may be present.
    • Unplug the appliance and remove from electrical supply.
    • Wait for the appliance to fully cool down.
    • Ensure the water tank is empty.
    • Detach the nozzle from the cleaner body.
    • Insert the supplied de-scaling tool into the steam outlet to clear any blockages.
    • Re-assemble the nozzle to the appliance body.
    • If the issue persists, the brass ball inside the water tank may be disconnected. This can be resolved by snapping it back onto the black nozzle at the end of the tube.
  • Storage: Store the appliance in a dry area. Ensure the cleaner has fully cooled down before performing any maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues such as the unit not heating up, weak steam output, or rattling sounds from the water tank. Solutions range from checking the power cord and refilling the water tank to clearing blockages and re-attaching the brass ball.
  • Spares and Consumables: Genuine Hoover spares and consumables are available from local Hoover dealers or directly from Hoover. These include Small Cloth (AC30, 35601414), Micro-fiber Mop Pad (AC29, 35601413), and Extension Hose (D147, 35601412).
