14.3 Filling auger
WARNING
Danger of severe injury caused by the rotating auger.
Ø Never reach into the rotating auger!
Ø Operate the screw only by one person.
Ø Operate the auger only when the swivelling parts has been unfolded and
locked.
Ø When the auger is folded, all openings must be closed with coverings and
lids.
Ø Shut down the drive before starting with the maintenance work and secure
against restarting.
Ø The three-way valve for switching the auger on and off must always be in the
STOP position before folding.
Ø Turn the three-way valve to the STOP position after the power supply fails.
Make sure before reactivation that no persons are present in the danger zone.
WARNING
Traffic accidents caused by the screw swinging out.
Ø Always fold in and secure the screw before road travel.
NOTE
Ø Attach the tarpaulin covers before each road travel over the filling funnel and
the tube on the folding section.
The fertiliser may otherwise stick, impair the placing quantity and damage the
metering unit.
Overview
The filling device consists of a fixed and a moveable auger half.
It enables simple and quick filling of the fertiliser hopper.
It is driven by a hydraulic motor, which is directly connected with the tractor.
