Temperature Selection Chart
Tokeepseveral different foods hot, set the control to the food needing the highest setting.
Placethe items needing the highest setting on the bottom of the drawer and items needing
lessheat on the rack.
Thetemperature, type and amount of food,
and the time held will affect the quality of
the food.

Food in heat-safe glass and glass-ceramic
utensils may need a higher control setting
as compared to food in metal utensils.
Repeatedopening of the drawer allows hot
air to escape and food to cool.
Allow extra time for the temperature inside
the drawer to stabilize after adding items.
With large loads it may be necessaryto
usea higher thermostat setting and
cover some of the cooked food items.
Donot useplastic containers or
plasticwrap.

To Crisp Stale Items
Placefood in low-sided dishes or pans.
Preheaton LO setting.
Checkcrispness after 45 minutes.Add time
asneeded.
To Warm Serving Bowls and Plates
Towarm serving bowls and plates, set the
control on LO.
Useonly heat-safe dishes.
Placeempty dishes on the rack to raise
them off the bottom of the drawer. Placing
disheson the warming drawer bottom
may causethem to become extremely
hot and could damage them.
Ifyou want to heat fine china, pleasecheck
with the manufacturer of the dishesfor
their maximum heat tolerance.
You may warm empty serving dishes while
preheating the drawer.
When holding hot, cooked foods and
warming empty serving dishes at the same
time, placethe serving dishes on the rack
and the food on the bottom ofthe drawer.
A CAUTION: Disheswill be hot.
Usepot holders or mitts when removing hot
dishes.
