Never force the latch handle. Forcing the handle will damage the door lock mechanism.
The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.
Wipe up heavy soil on the oven
bottom.
CAUTION:Neverplacecooking utensils,bakingstones,foil, or any other items on
theoven floor.Evenitemsrated for high temperature may permanently adhereto the oven
bottom or causeheat damage to the oven,flooring, or items in storage drawers.
Before a Clean Cycle
Forthe first self-cleancycle,we recommend
venting your kitchen with an open window or
using a ventilation fan or hood.
Removethe racks,any broiler pan, broiler
grid,all cookware and any aluminum foil from
the oven.
Theoven rackscan be self-cleaned,but they
will darken, losetheir luster and become hard
to slide.
Donot usecommercial oven cleaners or oven
protectors in or near the self-cleaning oven.
A combination of any of these products plus
the high clean cycletemperatures may
damage the porcelain finish of the oven.
Soilonthe front frame of the rangeand outside
thegasketon thedoor will needto becleaned
by hand.Cleantheseareaswith hot water,soap-
filledsteel-woolpadsor cleanserssuchasSoft
Scrub?Rinsewellwith cleanwater and dry.
Donot clean the gasket. Thefiberglass
material of the ovendoor gasket cannot
withstand abrasion. It is essential for the
gasket to remain intact. Ifyou notice it
becoming worn or frayed, replace it.
Wipeup anyheavyspilloverson the ovenbottom.
Hake surethe oven light bulb cover is in
place and the oven light isoff.
CAUTION: Thegrates and
drip pans tif so equipped) should never be
cleanedin the self-cleaning oven.
Do not use commercialoven cleanersor
ovenprotectors in or near the self-cleaning
oven. A combination of any of these products
plusthe high clean cycle temperatures may
damage the porcelainfinish of the oven.
IMPORTANT:Thehealth of some birds is
extremely sensitiveto the fumes given off
during the self-cleaning cycleof any range.
Hove birds to another well ventilated room.

[] Turn the OVENTEMPknob to CLEAN.
TheCleanTimeis 4 hours and 20 minutes. The
self cleanlight willcome on and stay on until
theself cleancycleis complete.
Theovenshuts off automatically when the
cleancycleiscomplete.

[] After a clean cycle,turn the OVENTEMP
knobto OFFand slidethe latch handle
to the left as far as it will go.
Tocancel selfclean cycle,turn OVENTEMP
knobto off and slide latch to left asfar as
itwill go.Wait until self clean light stops
blinking. Useoven as desired.
NOTE:Neverforce the latch. If the oven is
too hot, you will not be able to slidethe latch.
Allow the oven to cool.

Touch the SELFCLEAN pad.
[-_ Touch the + or- pads until the desired
CleanTime isdisplayed.
TheCleanTimeis normally 4 hoursand 20
minutes. Youcan change theCleanTimeto
any time between 3 and 5 hours, depending
on the amount of soilinyour oven.
[-_ Touch the START/ONpad.
The self-cleancyclewill automatically begin
after CLEAN isdisplayed and the time
countdown appears in the display.

While the oven isself-cleaning,you can touch
the CLOCKpad to display the time of day.
Toreturn to the clean countdown, touch
the SELFCLEANpad.
Theoven shuts off automatically when
the clean cycle iscomplete, and 0:00will flash
inthe display.
F_ Slidethe latch handle to the left as far
as it will go and open the door.
