Donot allow food spillswith a high
sugaror acid content (suchas milk,
tomatoes,sauerkraut, fruitjuices or
pie filling)to remain on thesurface.Theymay
causea dull spot even after cleaning.
Household ammonia may make the cleaning
job easier. Place1/2 cup in a shallowglassor
pottepycontainer ina cold oven overnight.
Theammonia fumes will help loosenthe
burned-on grease and food.
Ifnecessary,you may use an oven cleaner.
Followthe package directions.
Donot spray ovencleaneron the electrical
controlsand switchesbecauseit could cause
o short circuitand result insparking or fire.
Donot allow o film from the cleaner to build
up on the temperature sensor-it could cause
the ovento heat improperly. (Thesensoris
located at the top of the oven.)Carefullywipe
the sensorclean after eachovencleaning,
being careful not to move the sensoras a
change in itsposition could affect how the
ovenbakes.
Donot spray anyoven cleaneron the oven
door,handlesor any exterior surfaceof the
oven,cabinets or painted surfaces.Thecleaner
can damage thesesurfaces.

The gasket is designed with a gap
at the bottom to allow for proper
air circulation.
Because the area inside the gasket
is cleaned during the self-dean cycle,
you do not need to clean this by hand
on self-dean models.
The area outside the gasket and the
front frame can be cleaned with a
soap-filled steel-wool pad, hot water
and detergent. Rinsewell with a
vinegar and water solution.
Do not rub or clean the door gasket-
it has an extremely low resistance to
abrasion.
Ifyou notice the gasket becoming
worn, frayed or damaged inany way,
or if it has become displaced on the
door,you should have it replaced.
Lift-Off Oven Door
Theoven door isremovable for cleaning.
Donot lift the door bythe handle,lake sure
the oveniscompletely cool.
Toremove the door, open itto the special
stop position.Graspfirmly on each sideand
lift the door straight up and off the hinges.
Donot place hands between thehinge and
the ovendoor frame.
Toreplace the door, make surethe hinges
are inthe special stop position. Position
the slots in the bottom of the door squarely
overthe hinges and slowly lower it over
both hinges.
Toclean the insideof the door'.
Do not allow excesswater to run into any
holesor slotsin the door.

Spillageof marinades, fruit juices, tomato
saucesand basting materials containing
acids may cause discoloration and should
be wiped up immediately.When surface is
cool, cleanand rinse.
Do not useoven cleaners,cleaning
powders or harshabrasives on the
outside of the door.
