4-18. X3 GAIN ACCURACY
This test measures the output voltage at the Main Out-
put and at the X3 output to determine the gain. The gain
at 10kHz is specified to be 3+ 1%.
Equipment Required:
AC/DC Digital Voltmeter
50 Ohm Feedthrough Termination
A 5000 Feedthrough Termination consisting of:
1 4990 resistor, -hp- part number 0698-4123
Procedure:
A. Preset the 3314A.

C. Connect the 50 Ohm Feedthrough to the 3314A’s
Main Output. Connect the 5000 Feedthrough Termina-
tion to the 3314A’s X3 Output.
D. Set the digital voltmeter to measure = 3.5VRMS
and then measure and record the voltage from the Main
Output (V1).
E. Set the digital voltmeter to measure = 10.6VRMS
and then measure and record the voltage from the X3
Output (V2).
F. Compute the gain error using the following for-
mula:
