Plug-In
Assemblies
as
well
as
the
HP
3457A
mainframe
contain
CMOS
devices
that
are
susceptible
to
damage
from
static
electricity.

The
Rear
Terminal
Assembly
must
be
removed
before
an
Optional
Plug-In
Assembly
can
be
installed.
Remove
the
Rear
Terminal
Assembly
as
follows:
a.
Remove
the
power
cord
and
all
external
input
connections
from
the
HP
3457A.
b.
Remove
the
two
screws
attaching
the
Terminal
Assembly
to
the
rear
panel.
&
c.
Remove
the
Terminal
Assembly
and
disconnect
the
attached
connector.
