Table 12 Fabric OS 6.2.2a closed defects (continued)
SolutionClosed defect summary
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aWhile running Fabric OS 6.2.2, the switch can panic after executing a
fcplunquery or iscsicfg CLI command for the target entity on HP
StorageWorks iSCSI Director Blade. An FCPD termination occurs if a PRLI
or Report LUN query times out during fcplunquery/iscsicfg command
and the LOGO response is missing a message queue required for
processing, resulting in a switch panic.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aFabric class areasZoning Changes in fwconfigure does not function
correctly. Zone changes are not recorded in the FW module, resulting in
threshold alarms not being raised as appropriate.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aAfter using the ipaddrset -cp command to set a CP blade or director
switch host name, the standby CP incorrectly displays the CP host name
instead of the chassis host name. For the change to take effect, after
upgrading the firmware, the user must logout, and then log back in.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aDuring reboot, HP StorageWorks D2D Backup System device sends the
explicit logout; however, the switch does not clean up the route properly,
resulting in the hosts being unable to detect the tape devices.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aUsername/password authentication can fail when using Microsoft Active
Directory (LDAP) from Server 2008 for authentication. Users can experience
problems after upgrade from a Microsoft Windows host using older versions
of the LDAP protocol for authentications.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aAfter using the snmpconfig -set snmpv command to set SNMPv3, the
switch configdownload command failed with the following message:
snmp.snmpv3Usm.0.usmPrivProtocol:6 Invalid Value.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aIf you set fwsettocustom, the HP StorageWorks DC SAN Backbone
Director does not output FW-1003/FW-1004 after an hafailover or reboot,
and you will not be notified about temperature over threshold events.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2aThe systemverification and portloopbacktest diagnostic tests report marginal
blade failures on an HP StorageWorks DC SAN Director, but after the tests
are complete, Fabric Watch reports switch is healthy.
Fabric OS 6.2.2b fixes
Table 13 (page 43) lists defects closed in the Fabric OS 6.2.2b firmware release.
Table 13 Fabric OS 6.2.2b closed defects
SolutionClosed defect summary
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2bAfter upgrading EFCM to 9.7.4 and HP StorageWorks 4/256 SAN director
to 6.2.0x, customer is unable to discover switches due to performance of
SNMP get for connUnitLinkTable being reduced in 6.2.x.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2bExcessive internal messages cause a RASLOG flood condition and a
weblinkerfcg message appears on FCIP switches in the fabric (HP
StorageWorks 1606 Extension SAN Switch and Multiprotocol Extension
Blade). This can lead to other important RASLOG messages being lost. This
issue has no functional impact and occurs on platforms not running ipsd
(IP Security Daemon).
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2bNo cascaded FICON CUP connectivity on 4/256 Director with 8Gb blade
when E_Port and F_Port are on different ASICs on the blade.
Fixed in Fabric OS 6.2.2b (New
parameter added to Fabric OS 6.2.2b to
allow adjustment of SFP polling interval
to avoid laser faults.)
Under heavy CPU load, SFP laser fault condition may cause links to reset.
