Avg
(Average)
The
averaged
mode
selects
the
number
of
waveform
acquisitions
that
are
averaged
to
generate
the
displayed
waveform.
The
range
for
the
averaging
is
from
1
to
2048
in
powers
of
2.
When
the
averaged
mode
is
selected,
the
#
of
avg
(number
of
averages)
softkey
is
displayed.
Averaging
significantly
reduces
displayed
signal
noise.
As
the
number
of
averages
increases
from
1
to
2048,
the
display
becomes
less
responsive
to
changes
in
the
input
signal.
Using
more
averages
reduces
the
effects
of
displayed
signal
noise
and
improves
resolution.
Env
(Envelope)
The
envelope
mode
needs
no
other
parameters
set.
The
display
reflects
the
minimum
and
maximum
voltages
in
each
horizontal
position.
Use
the
envelope
mode
when
viewing
voltage
or
time
jitter.
