When testing a lightwave signal analyzer using the Operation Verication
tests, only the spectrum analyzer portion of the lightwave signal analyzer
can be tested to specication. However, unlike the System Diagnostic test,
the Operation Verication tests can be performed with the calibrator output
connected
to
the
RF
INPUT
of
the
lightwave section.
The HP 70000 Modular Spectrum Analyzer Installation and Verication Manual explains how
to run this software program. A list of the Operation Verication tests is provided, as well as
information about which modules may need adjustment or repair if a test fails.
