6. Unthread the scanner flat-flex cables from the cable guides.
7. Slide the scanner forward about 18mm, and then lift it off the MFP.
To replace the scanner, follow the removal steps in reverse order. When re-bundling the flat-flex
cables, make sure the cable with the ferrite bead is on top, the next-widest flat-flex cable is in the
middle, and the narrowest flat-flex cable is on the bottom.
Face-up mechanism removal and replacement
Use the following procedure to remove the face-up mechanism.
1. Remove the scanner.
