5. Holding the DIMM by the edges, align the notch on the DIMM with the bar in the DIMM slot at an
angle and firmly press the DIMM into the slot until it is fully seated. When installed correctly, the
metal contacts are not visible.
6. Push down on the DIMM until both latches engage the DIMM.
NOTE: If you have difficulty inserting the DIMM, make sure that the notch on the bottom
of the DIMM is aligned with the bar in the slot. If the DIMM still does not go in, make sure
that you are using the correct DIMM type.
7. Align the edge of the formatter board in the tracks at the top and bottom of the slot, and then
slide the board into the printer. Push the formatter firmly until you hear the formatter latches
click into place.
NOTE: After replacing the formatter, make sure that the control panel is functioning. If
the printer fans and motors are operating correctly but the control panel is not, turn the
power off, and then remove the formatter and reinstall it. You might have to repeat this
step several times to seat the formatter correctly.
