Repetitive defects on transparencies
Overhead transparencies that have repetitive defects spaced about
131 mm (4.1 in) apart indicate a defect on the upper fuser roller.

Turn the printer off and unplug it, allow 30 minutes for the fuser to
cool, and remove the fuser.
WARNING!
Make sure to allow 30 minutes before removing the fuser. The fuser
will be hot.

Turn the fuser gears and inspect the surface of the upper fusing
roller. If the roller has surface defects (gouges), replace the fusing
assembly.
Repetitive defects troubleshooting
Repetitive defects are defects that occur on the page. Most repetitive
defects are caused by problems with one of the following:
