Set-up wizards help you
configure your MFP’s digital sending features. And with LDAP directory lookup, it’s easy for
users to locate the email destination for their scanned files. After authenticating with their
password or PIN, they simply type part of the name and press the search sign on the control
panel. The HP LaserJet Pro LDAP solution automatically pulls the email address from the most
up-to-date database on the server and displays it on the control panel.
The advanced scan features of the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 series help you:
• Save time and resources—Forget the old way of scanning, when you’d need to first scan a
document to your PC, then send it as an attachment via email from your computer, upload it
to the cloud from your computer, or move it to a network folder. Now you can scan straight
to your desired destination. And there’s nothing to print, so these features help cut costs and
save time.
• Save space and help increase security—No need to keep hard copies of sensitive
documents. You don’t have to worry about losing important documents or using up valuable
space with a filing cabinet.
• Get instant access—Create an instant digital copy of what you scan, from invoices to
estimates to contracts. Provide immediate access to scanned documents for others on your
network, if you choose.
• Scan with flying colours—Preserve the appeal of full-colour documents and photos.
Colour scanning comes standard on all HP MFPs. Scan in 24-bit colour—ideal for sharing and
archiving high-quality digital versions of your originals.
Control access, protect data, and simply sign-on
The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M476 series features a number of options including
authentication along with enable and disable capabilities that help secure itself against
undesired access and increase data protection.
Simplify access control and user sign-in processes with LDAP/Windows® Authentication
Authentication can help your organisation to allow only authorised users access to certain
features of the device, avoiding unwanted device use and protecting your data. To help keep
your sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands, you can control access to the
printer with LDAP/Windows Authentication or a device PIN. Using the Embedded Web Server,
your IT administrator can limit access to walk-up features such as copy, scan to USB drive, scan
to network folder, scan to email, scan to or print from USB drive, fax, and apps.
