5. Sensors Test
The purpose of this test is to verify the operation of the following Sensors:
 Window Sensor.
 Printhead Cleaner (PHC) Access Door Sensor.
 Black Drive Pinch Lever Sensor
 Roll 1 Module Load Lever Sensor & Roll 2 Module Load Lever Sensor
 Main Media Sensor.
 Single Sheet Sensor
 Back Channel Sensor
 Roll 1 Module Drawer Switch & Roll 2 Module Drawer Switch
 Roll 1 Module & Roll 2 Module Media Sensors
 Roll 1 Module & Roll 2 Module Back Tension Sensors
 Stacker Presence Sensor
IF POSSIBLE ALWAYS PERFORM THIS TEST BEFORE REPLACING A
RELEVANT SENSOR. IF THIS TEST PASSES, DO NOT REPLACE THE
RELEVANT SENSOR.
1 Before starting, first make sure that:
 The Window is closed.
 The Printhead Cleaner Access Door is closed.
 All levers are in the lowered position.
 All drawers closed.
 Media is unloaded.
 Stacker Disconnected
Perform the Sensors test as follows:
2 In the Service Tests submenu, scroll to "5. Sensors Test" and press Enter.
3 The Printer will start to initialize and the Front Panel will display the following
messages:
 Starting Gamut.
 Starting Tests GPIO.
If there is a failure at this point, the Front Panel will display System Error
Code 01.0:10. For more information on troubleshooting this error code,
refer to Page 2-3.
 Starting CDS.
If there is a failure at this point, the Front Panel will display System Error
