Streaks running in the scan direction which seem to appear and disappear during the scan aremost likely
caused by dust. Clean the scanner and the original. The streaks are often a darker shade of color.
Streaks that run in the scan direction, that are color dependent, or a lighter shade of the color are often
related to calibration. Dust that was present in the scanner during calibration, but has been cleaned away
since.
Stitching problems
Other issues can be that the scanner simply needs to be calibrated, either because the parameter block has
been erased, never been calibrated, or that the scanner has been moved around.
