Turn on the printer and prepare for cartridge installation.
Remove the protective vinyl tape from the cartridges.
Lift the cradle latch and insert the print cartridges.
Close the cradle latch and the top cover.
Insert the HP printer software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
Double-click the hp deskjet installer icon and follow on-screen instructions.
After restart, use the hp deskjet utility to select the printer.
Consult the Electronic User Manual on the CD for more information.
Install Adobe Acrobat Reader if not already present to view the manual.
