4. Slightly raise the right side of the assembly, release the cables from the raceway (callout 1), and
then lift the document feeder assembly up to remove it.
Reinstallation tip Position the cables toward the back of the product. With the right side of
the document feeder slightly raised, thread the cables through the raceway (callout 1).

Reinstall the document feeder
NOTE: If a replacement document feeder or scanner assembly is installed, you must install a
replacement foam reflector on the document feeder. See
Document feeder foam reflector on page 16.
Installing a replacement document feeder assembly
If a replacement document feeder is installed, do the following:
1. From the Home screen on the control panel, scroll to and touch the Device Maintenance button.
2. Open the Service menu.
3. On the sign-in screen, select the Service Access Code option from the drop-down list.
4. Enter the following service access code for this product: 11077512.
5. Reset the following values:

Document Feeder Kit Count; set to zero

ADF Count; set to zero
