The control panel includes a touch-screen graphical display with contrast adjustments, five job-control buttons, a
numeric keypad, three light-emitting diode (LED) indicator lights, and a Sleep mode button/light.
Extensive user help
The device has a built-in Help system that explains how to use each screen. To open the Help
system, touch the Help button in the upper-right corner of the screen. For some screens, the
Help button opens to a global menu where you can search for specific topics. For screens
that contain settings for individual jobs, the Help button opens to a topic that explains the
options for that screen.

HP Instant Support Professional Edition is a suite of Web-based troubleshooting tools that analyzes your HP MFP
data as well as your Microsoft Windows operating system to provide automated solutions online. It analyzes
your device error log and configuration information to provide diagnostic and support information specific to
your MFP. The suite also includes HP Active Chat for personalized Web-based help from an HP support expert
on demand and real-time.

HP Embedded Web Server and Web Jetadmin
These tools allow remote monitoring of device and network status and management of printing functions,
instead of from the control panel. While the HP Embedded Web Server is used to manage a single device, HP
Web Jetadmin is used to manage groups of devices.
