Get investment protection. You can upgrade with a variety of optional features, including additional
memory, fonts, or storage and third-party solutions. For more information, see “Extended functionality” on
page 11.
Re-engineer your workflow
The MFP comes standard with send-to-e-mail and send-to-network folder capabilities, including LDAP and
address book support. But with optional HP Digital Sending Software (DSS) 4.3, you can realize your MFP’s full
potential and initiate business processes faster, reduce manual processes and cut the costs of physically
distributing and storing information. HP DSS 4.3 is the entry-level member of a family of server-based software
products that incorporates paper documents into electronic business processes and sends them quickly and
securely to network folders, printers, ftp sites, and fax services.
Add optional HP AutoStore software to take your workflow management up a notch. HP AutoStore effortlessly
routes information to document management applications such as Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server (version
2003), Microsoft Exchange, and Lotus Notes. This market-leading software helps medium and large businesses
with decentralized, paper-intense workflows to enhance productivity, manage costs, and improve customer
service.
Advanced security features
For many businesses, information is one of their most valuable assets. The HP LaserJet M3035 MFP series is
designed to protect critical information—in both hardcopy and electronic form—and simplify the way you
manage your environment with easy tools and checklists. The following are some examples of the way this
device safeguards your business:
Private Printing lets you protect confidential documents by allowing you to hold a job for printing until you
release it using a 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) at the MFP’s control panel.
Our renowned family of HP Jetdirect connectivity products support a wide range of industry-standard and
trusted security protocols, including 802.1x for Wired Networks, SNMPv3 and HTTPS, and Secure IPP
(IPP-S) and IPsec.

Network authentication (LDAP, SMTP) adds another layer of security by allowing administrators to control
device access. By requiring users to log in, administrators can limit usage of all the device features, or of
just the copying or sending functions.

HP dependability
By far the biggest contributor to user productivity is the reliability of HP equipment, support, and service. Instead
of experiencing frustration and downtime while waiting for device repair, users are getting their work done.
