ADF separation pad
CAUTION: Avoid touching the flatbed glass or the ADF separation pad. Skin oils and fingerprints can
contaminate the glass or pad and cause print-quality or paper-pickup problems.
1. Open the ADF cover and lift up the ADF pickup-roller assembly.
2. Use a #8 torx screwdriver to remove two torx screws (callout 1) and remove the ADF separation-
pad assembly.
NOTE: Be careful not to lose the two torx screws. Reuse the screws when installing a new
separation pad.
