Before removing the solid-state drive or Optane memory module, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 30).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 38).
The computer oers two solid-state drive sockets as shown in the following illustration:
(1) Primary solid-state drive
(2) Secondary solid-state drive
Remove the solid-state drive or Optane memory module:
1. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screw (1), and then lift the metal cover o the drive (2).
