Before removing the hard drive assembly, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 30).
3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 38).
Remove the hard drive assembly:
1. Disconnect the hard drive cable from the system board ZIF connector (1).
2. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (2) that secure the hard drive assembly to the computer.
3. Lift the hard drive assembly out of the computer (3).
