2. Use the battery notch (2) to lift and then remove the battery.
Reverse this procedure to install the battery.

Before removing the middle frame cover, follow these steps:
1. Turn o the tablet. If you are unsure whether the tablet is o, turn the tablet on, and then shut it down
through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the tablet by unplugging the power adapter cord from the tablet.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the tablet.
4. Remove the card tray (see Card tray on page 14).
5. Remove the back cover (see Back cover on page 15).
6. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 16).
Remove the middle frame cover:
1. Remove the 12 Phillips screws (1) securing the outside edges of the middle frame cover.
2. Remove the 5 Phillips screws (2) securing the inside edges of the middle frame cover.
