Before removing theRTC battery, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 40).
2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 40).
3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 50).
Remove the RTC battery:
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (1).
2. Remove the cable from the clips in the computer chassis (2).
3. Use a tool to release the battery from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install theRTC battery.
