Removal and replacement procedures
13. If it is necessary to replace the display bezel or any of the display assembly internal components:
a. Remove the eight rubber screw covers 1. The rubber screw covers are included in the Rubber Kit, spare
part number 583280-001.
b. Remove the eight Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws 2 that secure the display bezel to the display assembly.
c. Slide and hold the display release latch 1 to the right.
d. Flex the inside edges of the top edge 2, the left and right sides 3, and the bottom edge 4 of the display
bezel until the bezel disengages from the display enclosure.
e. Remove the display bezel 5. The display bezel is available using the following spare part numbers:
◆ 583235-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6545b computer models equipped with a webcam
◆ 583236-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6545b computer models not equipped with a webcam
◆ 593847-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6540b computer models equipped with a webcam
◆ 593848-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6540b computer models not equipped with a webcam
◆ 583237-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6445b computer models equipped with a webcam
◆ 583238-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6445b computer models not equipped with a webcam
◆ 593849-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6440b computer models equipped with a webcam
◆ 593850-001—for use only with HP Compaq 6440b computer models not equipped with a webcam
