Remove the optical drive screws.
6. Remove the optical drive assembly.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Hard drive cage
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 25).
2. Remove the server from the rack (on page 26).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 28).
4. Remove all hard drive blanks ("Hard drive blank" on page 26).
5. Remove all hard drives ("Hard drive" on page 27).
6. Remove the optical drive ("Optical drive" on page 38), if installed.
7. Disconnect the front I/O cable.
