The 42-inch (1066,8-millimeter) HP T400 Color Inkjet Web
Press family oers high-speed productivity, outstanding
quality, and compelling economics. A wide range of page
layout and imposition options, high-speed mass
customization, and high volume, long-run eciencies help
you create the potential for new business and protable
growth. The family of web presses includes three versions
with productivity options designed to t your needs—400
feet (122 meters), 600 feet (183 meters) per-minute color
print speeds, or 800 feet (244 meters) mono per-minute
print speeds.

HP printheads are based on proven HP Scalable Printing Technology (SPT)—including a
compact nozzle design with a native resolution of 1200 nozzles per inch—that delivers high
quality at every print speed with sharp text, images, graphics, and uniform area lls. SPT is
designed to optimize press uptime—multiple nozzles address each pixel to minimize print
defects and reduce waste.
Tailor ecient paper drying capability to your needs. Float infrared (IR) dryers use a
combination of medium wavelength IR lamps and hot air convection to deliver eective drying
capability. This proven technology optimizes web temperatures to enable stable web handling.
To maintain print quality, settings can be adjusted according to the drying requirements of the
print job. Designed for scalability, conguration options are available for one, two, or three
dryer zones per print engine to match dryer capacity to your printing application requirements.
Enjoy a wide range of oset media compatibility with HP Bonding Agent. The HP T400
Color Inkjet Web Press family supports a wide range of standard uncoated oset stock and
groundwood. This is achieved with HP Bonding Agent, a colorless liquid applied only at the
precise locations where ink is to be printed. This unique technology improves optical density
and reduces strikethrough, enabling outstanding print quality on a wide range of standard,
uncoated oset media. Supported media weights range from 60 up to 350 gsm.
