Press family oers a web width up to 42 inches (1066,8 millimeters) and print width up to 41.75
inches (1060,4 millimeters). Flexible imposition options support common formats including
16-page letter-sized signatures for book publishing. For direct mail and transactional printing:
• Produce 4-up letter-sized pages
• Further streamline workows by printing two 20-inch jobs in parallel and slit at rewind for
nishing on existing 20-inch o-line equipment
• Create new opportunities with the optional HP Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR)

end—along with a robust data pipeline, powered by the HP SmartStream Production Elite Print
Server—enables full-color, 100% variable printing at full press speeds.
Drive high-volume production with a robust duty cycle. The HP T400 Color Inkjet Web
Press family builds on the innovations of the HP T300 Color Inkjet Web Press family with an
integrated and robust industrial design. Print up to 400 feet (122 meters) per minute with a
capacity of up to 100 million letter-sized, four-color images per month; print up to 600 feet
(183 meters) per minute with a capacity of up to 140 million four-color images per month; print
up to 800 feet (244 meters) per minute with a capacity of up to 175 million mono images per
month.

This high-performance capacity is accompanied by the combination of in-line, real-
time print process monitoring that maintains reliable performance and fast print speeds.
Increase total printing time with optional quick roll changeover. Convert manual roll
splicing to an automatic process with the Zero-Speed Splicer. A fresh paper roll can be queued
and the splice set up while the current roll feeds the press. Ideal for in-line nishing, the Zero-
Speed Splicer reduces downtime required to load and manually splice rolls with a standard
unwinder.
Streamline operations with automated quality control. In-line process controls include
a duplex vision system that checks printhead quality, monitors front-to-back side print
registration, and enables real-time adjustments. The closed-loop tension control system
automatically adjusts the press to constant tension in order to maintain constant print
alignment.
