HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) Receiver
HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS) is a high-performance remote desktop connection protocol that
delivers an exceptional remote desktop user experience for rich user environments that include video,
Web flash animations and graphics intensive applications. All applications run natively on the remote
system and take full advantage of the compute and hardware graphics resources of the sending
system.
HP RGS captures the desktop of the remote system and transmits it over a standard network to a
window on a local client (a receiver) using advanced image compression technology specifically
designed for text, digital imagery and high frame rate video applications. The receiver uses their
keyboard, mouse, and USB devices to interact with applications just as if they were physically
interacting with the sender system providing an interactive, high performance, multi-display desktop
experience.
The RGS Receiver is included in the latest HP thin client WES 2009 image. Visit
