Key Features
Universal Serial Bus Users can connect USB accessories to the PC without any need to remove
the cover or restart the operating system, reducing support costs. Note that
USB is not supported by all operating systems.
Remote Power On and
Remote Wake Up
Connector
This connector is provided for HP LAN adapters only, which support
Remote Power On (RPO) and Remote Wake Up (RWU). RPO and RWU can
be used by certain network management applications to remotely power on
the PC across the network to perform management tasks.
Wake on LAN Connector This connector is provided for third-party LAN adapters which support the
Wake on LAN (WOL) feature. Like RPO/RWU, WOL can be used by certain
network management applications to switch on the PC to perform
management tasks.
PCI Wake Up Connector The PCI Wake Up connector provides additional signal lines between the
system board and the PCI backplane. These additional signal lines provide
support for Remote Wake Up over the PCI bus. This feature is only
supported by ACPI-compliant LAN adapters and operating systems (for
example, Windows 98 and Windows NT 5.5 will support this feature when
available).
