8 Transportation, storage and disposal
8.1 Transportation
The machine cannot be moved manually if the drive
wheels are locked and the radio control activated. When
lifting the grinder use lifting straps. Attach the lifting
straps in the lifting eye, see figure 1. Only use lifting
straps approved for lifting equipment. Make sure that the
weights are locked in the forward position and that the
handle is in its back position, see figure 1.
Always make sure that the grinder is securely anchored
to its surroundings and the grinding head is lowered
against the surface. Make sure that the securing straps
or other equipment used for anchoring during transport
are tightened over non-moving parts, e.g. the grinder’s
chassis.
8.2 Storage
The machine should be stored in a heated, dry area
when not in use. Otherwise, it may be damaged by
condensation and cold. If the machine is stored in a cold
area (below 0
o
C), it must be kept in a warm area (above
0
o
C) for at least two hours before use.
Always make sure that the grinder is securely anchored
to its surroundings and the grinding head is lowered
against the surface. Make sure that the securing straps
or other equipment used for anchoring during transport
are tightened over non-moving parts, e.g. the grinder’s
chassis.
8.3 Disposal
For recycling and scrapping of components, see the
applicable national regulations for each country. The
machine or machine components can also be returned
to HTC for recycling.
