Changing the Web Management Page Password
The correct user name and password are required to log in to the web management page. Regular
changes to the web management page password can effectively prevent unauthorized users from
logging in and modifying important parameters.
Step 1
Log in to the web management page.
Step 2
In the navigation tree, choose
Advanced
>
Management
>
Account
.
Step 3
Enter your current password, and a new password. Re-enter the new password to confirm
it.
Step 4
Click
Apply
.
When modify password successfully, this page will jump to the login page, enter the user name
and new password to log in.
If you forget the password, you can press and hold the Reset button for more than

seconds, then the user name and password of the web management page will back
to factory value. This operation will make your own configura
tion data lost, please
perform this operation with caution.
Changing Your WLAN Name and Password
WLAN access requires the WLAN name and password. When the DG8245W2 is delivered,
the wireless network name and password are preset. To improve your WLAN security, regularly
change your WLAN name and password.
(The default wireless network encryption mode WPA/WPA2 PreSharedKey is used as an
example)
Step 1
Log in to the web management page.
Step 2
In the navigation tree, choose
Advanced
>
Wi-Fi
>
2.4G Basic
. (If you want to
configure 5G Wi-Fi, choose
5G Basic
.).
Step 3
Select
Enable WLAN
.
Step 4
In
SSID Name
, enter a new wireless network name.
Step 5
For
Authentication Mode
, select
WPA/WPA2 PreSharedKey
.
Step 6
In
WPA PreSharedKey
, enter a new password. Use the default settings for other
parameters.
Step 7
Click
Apply
.
Remember the new wireless network name and password you just set. You will be prompted to
enter this password when connecting wireless devices, such as a computer, to
the DG8245W2's wireless network.
