2. Tap and select Squelch level.
3. Slide the bar to set the volume or the level.
The lower the noise level, the more sensitive the signal, the larger the DMO coverage
and the higher the noise. You can adjust the noise level according to the DMO coverage
and calling quality.
The noise level is only effective to analog DMO.
Making a DMO Call
l When your EP820 is in standby state, hold down the PTT call button on the side to
initiate a direct-mode call. The home screen of the EP820 displays information such as
the frequency and user group.
l Release the PTT call button to end the call and you can receive other direct-mode calls.
5.4.5 Contacts
This section describes the operations of the contacts application on an EP820.
On the home screen of the EP820, tap
to enter Contacts. The following are pages in
Contacts:
l History page: This page is the default page displaying all records of incoming and
outgoing calls in the EP820. You can originate P2P voice calls, P2P video calls, video
surveillance, and short messages on the History page.
l Contacts page: This page is used to manage contacts in the EP820. You can create,
modify, and remove contacts on the Contacts page. The EP820 manages group numbers
as contacts. You can check your phone number in this page.
l Favorites page: This page displays the favorite list of groups.
5.5 Video Service
This section describes the operations of the video service on an EP820.
5.5.1 Video Call
This section describes operations related to video calls performed on an EP820.
Procedure
l Answering a Video Call
a. When a video call is incoming, the home screen of an EP820 displays call initiator
information. Press or slide to receive the video call.
b. After a call is connected, you can set the following parameters:
n Mute, loudspeaker, and hidden viewfinder
