5. Install a ground wire from the surge suppressor to an approved building ground point.
6. Install a Cat5e cable (with ground wire) between the surge suppressor and the ODU.
7. If you are using a J–arm platform, install a dual ground lug on the mast bracket.
If you are using a tripod or ground pole, install two ground straps on the pole, a hand's width apart.
8. Install a ground wire between the surge suppressor and the dual ground lug, or the lower ground strap.
9. Install a ground wire between the ground screw on the ODU and the dual ground lug, or the upper ground
strap.
10. Install a Cat5e cable between the surge suppressor and the IDU.
11. Install the supplied Ethernet cable between the IDU and your computer.
12. Plug in the IDU and power up your computer.
When all tasks are complete, you are ready to align the ODU.
